Proposed Mobile Home Park

There is a need for a mobile home park for families that want to purchase or already own a single-, double-, or triple-wide home.  Santo Domingo Tribal Housing Authority has received approval and assisgnment of land from Tribal Council to move forward on the Mobile Home Park with approxiametly 60 available lots. There are also plans for a Community and Office Building as well as a laundry facility. Basketball courts and a youth play area are included in the long-term plan.  Indian Housing Block Grant funds will be used for the planning and design.  The next step is the Environmental Review. Once the Environmental Review is completed SDTHA will procure an Engineering Firm to assist with the design, survey, possible layouts, etc.

During the design phase, the arroyo to the east will be evaluated and engineered to abate any possible overflow during the rains. Up to three optional designs and subdivision layouts will be prepared by the Engineers with estimated costs for each design.  SDTHA Board of Commissioners will work with management to select the final plan.  SDTHA management will then return to Tribal Council for review and update.
